      Media, Politics, History, and Sociology are all connected. This theme is something that Mr. Paterson was unable to teach last year because of pandemic. US presidential election was key in the learning but it is already 2021, we are going to focus on Sweden or Japan.

     Democracy is most dominant political style of all that was born in Ancient Greece, it is a system that gives citizens and people strong power. I had learned about Ancient Greece in 4th grade Social Studies class, and was sure that they were unbelievably progressive. However, the fact that man discussed whether women and slaves get voting right surprised me.

     I actually have experience in living in Bangkok Thailand, which is a kingdom. The only difference I felt living there as a foreigner was that I needed to sing national anthem every morning. However, considering current situation in Thailand, I simply noticed how much I was ignorant of politics. The Japanese young people’s indifference toward politics is a desperate problem. We rarely have conversation or share our opinions, and most are giving up to change the current situation. That makes the politics even better for old people and worse for young people.
