2020.9.1

Today, I practiced my presentation with team members and gave each other advice. Mr. Paterson was planning to start today but he decided to provide a chance for everyone to get the comment. In this blog, I would write about teammate's feedback for me and mine for them.

Firstly, I said the credibility connecting with coronavirus and tried to make eye contact which they complimented. However, there were some points I need to improve like doing more gestures, make the time 20 seconds shorter.

Secondly, I found some elements that I can tell them to maybe change about. One important factor is photographs but some were stretched horizontally or vertically. Moreover, pictures with watermarks were used although they were commercial purposes. In some slides, speech and picture had no relation. For example, I felt like the image of a slave doesn't really fit with how Harry worked in Dursleys. The next element was attitude. For example, the presenter shouldn't let the audience notice when you forgot what to say. My teammate had a habit of tapping the desk and moving the legs when trying to remember, which distracted my concentration sometimes. Making eye contact instead of reading the script, using more body language, and a bigger voice.

Conclusively, there were many learnings in today's class and I could understand the perspectives of both presenter and audience. We couldn't finish all the teammates' practice today so in the next class, we would continue doing what we did.
