Final Blog
Unfortunately, we couldn't wrap up one year study in LE because of Corona virus and the fire incident. This year, we worked mainly on presentation, made a website, and wrote brochure and academic essay. Of course, I got many skills throughout whole year but I blogged about that in other blogs so I will write about not just what I learned but how I grew.
Firstly, I learned how difficult it is to work in a team. In fact, I had never spoken with my teammates, Arisa and Migusa untill the first class of LE. However, we soon became good friends thanks to the presentation project. We had really different skills and personalities, and that helped us to fit into each's role (mouth, brain and heart). Migusa is a really bright and noisy girl that she did really well as a brain person. I tried my best to propose ideas about the topic as a brain person. And finally, Arisa persuaded the audience with her thoughtful heart-catching opinion as a heart person. A day before presentation, we worked for almost ten hours. In spite of hard work, first presentation was a disaster. We made a lot of mistakes due to the nervousness and could only tell a little of our thinkings.
Then, there was a huge turning point. A transfer student called Tsubura came in September and whole presentation changed. I was explaining all the ideas (about classroom and outdoor) in the first term but Tsubura was decided that she will explain the outside part. We mainly worked on our website, brochure and presentation. We gathered few times but couldn't finish all the works as we kept on chatting. Arisa made us work properly in that situation and I really appreciate her for that. Presentation improved from last term but not quite.
The final term came and we each worked on our academic essay. When presentation date approached, we had an argument. Migusa talked about problem in school but me and Tsubura was repeating that before explaining the solution. Time should be used efficiently so we thought Migusa can explain other things like educational development around the world. Everyone had different opinion against that change and had attachment in their part that we talked about that for two days. I was amazed by how we were naturally obbesed by the topic.
This project became a big learning for me. I could increase my thought about the topic but also grew as a person who can cooperate with others and have stong opinion.
